Order Status Updates - Tasks

The current status of an order can be checked at any time by searching for the order and viewing the details. However certain updates, such as the allocation of a new appointment, are flagged to the Portal user via a "Task". For each user there is a list of tasks related to orders they have placed that are either important information or a call to action (e.g. to reappoint a job if the original appointment has been missed).

Recently generated tasks are listed on the Homepage, see below (highlighted in the red box):

 

 

Clicking on "Show all" displays the "Tasks" section of the Portal, see below:

 

 

This page has shortcuts from which the user can choose to display all open tasks or all closed tasks. Also shown are recent open tasks.

A task is classed as "open" or "closed" - a task is "open" when it is generated and remains so until the user marks it as "closed" - this allows users to monitor important activities and then close them when action has been taken.

To view a specific task click on the title and the details will be displayed at the bottom of the screen:

 

 

In this example Openreach are notifying a new appointment date for a new provide order, when the user has acted upon this they can click the "Close" button to move the task to the list of closed tasks.
